Malcolm Reid

Malcolm Reid is the Director of Policy and Advocacy for THRIVE SS, Inc. THRIVE stands for Transforming HIV Resentments Into Victories Everlasting. THRIVE’s mission is to achieve health equity for Black same-gender-loving men through direct support advocacy and building collective community power. Malcolm started as a volunteer in 2016. He co-founded the PASAN, the Political and Social Action Network and in 2017 he created and co-authored what is now the Silver Lining Project, a program and intervention to support and enhance the lives of black gay men over the age of 50 living with HIV. Both of these programs exist under the THRIVE SS umbrella and have effectively supported and advocated for Black SGL Men and the broader black queer community. Malcolm is also the chair of the Policy Action Committee of the USPLHIV caucus and represents THRIVE SS on many community advisory boards and coalitions.
