Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center was founded in 1989 with a mission to provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and cultures can find support and unconditional acceptance, and where they can learn, grow, socialize and feel safe.

The Alzheimer’s Association offers a broad range of free programs and services, funding for Alzheimer's and dementia research, and advocacy efforts on behalf of Michiganders.

DETROIT AREA AGENCY ON AGING
Established in 1980, the Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is a nonprofit agency that serves the elderly, adults with disabilities, and caregivers residing in Detroit, the five Grosse Pointes, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, and Highland Park. They remove the social, economic, physical, and psychological barriers to create aging-friendly neighborhoods through nutrition, health and wellness, and senior independence.
