The LGBT National Senior Hotline (888-234-7243) provides a confidential safe space where seniors can speak about their unique issues concerning sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. This includes coming out issues, family dynamics, relationship concerns, elder abuse, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, suicide, and much more.
MEMORY CAFE
A Memory Cafe is a wonderfully welcoming place for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease or any other form of dementia, or other brain disorders. They are designed to include the care partner as well, for a shared experience. Additionally, it is helpful for people with all forms of mild cognitive impairment (MCI.)
NATIONAL RESOURCE CENTER ON LGBTQ+ AGING
The National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging is the country's first and only technical assistance resource center focused on improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults, their families and caregivers.
THE LGBTQIA+ AGING PROJECT - THE FENWAY INSTITUTE
The LGBTQIA+ Aging Project works toward equity, inclusion, and community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and asexual older adults, ensuring that they can age with the dignity and respect they deserve. The LGBTQIA+ Aging Project is the premier resource in New England advocating specifically for LGBTQIA+ older adults.
THE NATIONAL LGBT CANCER NETWORK
The National LGBT Cancer Network works to improve the lives of LGBT cancer survivors and those at risk by:
EDUCATING the LGBT community about their increased cancer risks and the importance of screening and early detection;
TRAINING health care providers to offer more culturally-competent, safe and welcoming care; and
ADVOCATING for LGBT survivors in mainstream cancer organizations, the media and research.
THRIVE SS SILVER LINING PROJECT
The mission of The Silver Lining Project is to create and maintain a safe space, both virtual and physical, where Mature African American men living with HIV can share, discuss and advocate for issues impacting their community. A sub-group of THRIVE SS, they share the same mission for their target demographic, Men of Color living with HIV over the age of fifty.
ZAMI NOBLA (NATIONAL ORGANIZATION OF BLACK LESBIANS ON AGING)
ZAMI NOBLA (National Organization of Black Lesbians on Aging) is a membership-based organization committed to building a base of power for Black lesbians over the age of 40 living anywhere in the country. They center Service, Advocacy and Community Action Research.
