Jennifer Henius is a licensed clinical social worker, senior healthcare consultant, social impact entrepreneur, and a long-distance caregiver. Jennifer is a trained trauma-informed yoga instructor and the founder and CEO of Yoga4Caregivers, a social enterprise focused on supporting and empowering caregivers both on and off the yoga mat with tools to cultivate resilience for sustainable caregiving. She is also the founder of the Caregiver Wellness Collective Inc., a nonprofit startup based in Tampa Bay. Jennifer has nearly 20 years of serving Veterans and their caregivers with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Most notably, Jennifer served as the Senior Health Systems Specialist on the national leadership team for VA’s Caregiver Support Program, the largest and most comprehensive caregiver support program in the United States. Jennifer is a demonstrated LGBTQ+ advocate who integrated LGBTQ+ sensitivity into VA’s caregiver education and training curriculum and served on an interdisciplinary team to develop VA’s Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Health Provision Policy. Jennifer is also the co-founder of the national LGBTQ Caregiver Center, a trailblazing virtual resource that is the first of its kind dedicated to LGBTQ caregivers and those who provide care for LGBTQ individuals.
