ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION - CAPITAL OF TEXAS CHAPTER
The Alzheimer’s Association Capital of Texas Chapter is located in southwest Austin, and supports diagnosed individuals, their families and caregivers, and the professionals who care for them. They offer support groups, educational programs, individualized planning provided by licensed professionals, and community resource lists.
ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION - DALLAS AND NORTHEAST TEXAS CHAPTER
Serving Anderson, Bowie, Camp, Cass, Cherokee, Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Delta, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Franklin, Grayson, Gregg, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Hunt, Kaufman, Lamar, Marion, Morris, Navarro, Panola, Rains, Red River, Rockwall, Rusk, Smith, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties, the Alzheimer's Association Greater Dallas is there to help. They provide education and support to all those facing Alzheimer's and other dementias throughout the community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. They are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer's disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION - WEST TEXAS CHAPTER
Serving Amarillo, El Paso, Lubbock, Midland and the surrounding areas, the Alzheimer’s Association West Texas Chapter is there to help. They provide education and support to all those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias throughout the community, including those living with the disease, caregivers, health care professionals and families. They are also committed to advocating for the needs and rights of those facing Alzheimer’s disease and advancing critical research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
AUSTIN LGBT COALITION ON AGING
The Austin LGBT Coalition on Aging is made up of representatives of LGBTQ community organizations, senior services providers, and interested individuals who have come together to "improve the condition of the LGBTQ aging community through advocacy, research, education and programs/services."
SILVER PRIDE PROJECT
The Silver Pride Project was established in 2017 to support and meet the growing needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) and allied senior community in the Dallas/Ft Worth area through outreach and programming delivered with knowledge, sensitivity, pride and a strong commitment to promoting social justice and equality.
THE MONTROSE CENTER - LAW HARRINGTON SENIOR LIVING CENTER
The Law Harrington Senior Living Center is the Montrose Center’s comprehensive approach to support seniors, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. The complex features one and two bedroom, independent living apartments for low-income seniors ages 62 and older, with rents adjusted based on Area Median Income. Seniors will be able to age with dignity and pride in a stable, safe, and affirming community, with access to specialized services and support
