L.A. Walker

Adlaidie Walker, affectionately known as L.A., is a U.S. Defense Information School graduate. She was an anchor for the Southern Command Television Network, Panama Canal Zone. L.A., an Army Veteran, continued her passion for journalism as a radio News Director for WBGR Radio in Baltimore. L.A. is an author and playwright. She is the Executive Director of Social Issues Theatre. The nonprofit's mission is to move diversity and inclusion from a conversation into a reality by bringing society together one line at a time. In June 2020, L.A. Walker lost her spouse to Lewy Body Dementia. She has held numerous dementia caregiver workshops. She is the creator and co-writer of a dementia story, The Wonderful World of  Was, a musical dramedy coming in the spring of 2023.
